Tetris Lamp

I was inspired by the game Tetris when I independently designed and made this desk lamp. The wood lamination process enabled me to create the shapes by using two different veneers (mahogany and ash) with patterns cut out on the laser cutter. I used a vacuum bag to bend and secure the strips of flexi ply with the veneers. The front and back of the lamp have the cutout colors reversed, as I switched the Tetris pieces between the two wooden veneer outlines.
