Harmonic Motor Attachment For Upper Limb Robotic Orthosis

During my work with Myomo, a company that creates an upper limb robotic orthosis, I designed and built adapter to safely mount a new high torque harmonic motor to the existing orthosis. My design incorporated electronic and mechanical components.
I conducted extensive research, safety studies, and user testing, in order to assess the motor’s potential for use in the next improved design. At the end of the summer, I presented to the engineering team, answering detailed technical questions and providing next steps for the project.
